Teach, Train & Go Forth!

G-d is definitely active during my personal time here in South Carolina as I rest, work, and prepare to return to Israel in 3 weeks! Wow, time really flies...
Reflecting on the past couple of months stateside, it's uplifting to see how G-d has been present in my job, my relationships, and my plans to return to Israel. The thought of going back is quite daunting, to say the least, not having a clear idea of what I will "do" long term and if G-d wants me there long term! However, that being said, as I was writing this I am
thrilled to announce that I am now engaged by a large local congregation in Jerusalem to teach, encourage, and spiritually equip women in faith and self-defense. This will be my first official six-week self-defense course conducted in Israel, and I ask for prayers and spiritual and physical support! Please pray even now for the women attending and, L-rd willing, for this to expand into more opportunities to equip young ladies in Israel to defend themselves both spiritually and physically! My two years of intense training and my two weeks of instructor's course, conducted during wartime, amidst much sweat and tears, have come to fruition! I will be using donations to purchase equipment.
G-d is also preparing me in my teaching by giving me the privilege of conducting three self-defense seminars this week in my hometown at my church. The theme? Faith over Fear! At the last minute, my Instructor from Israel, who was supposed to be the main Coach, was not able to come...and so, G-d prompted me to take up the mantle and teach, despite my own feeling of inadequacy and fear of what others might think. As I look back, I now see that G-d was/is giving me the push I need to step out in faith and take His hand in mind as He leads me in the path he has planned for me! I felt Him physcially hold out his hand for me and I took it...
"For I am the L-rd your God. I am the one who is holding on to your right hand. I am the one who says to you, "Do not fear. I myself am helping you." Isaiah 41:13
We've had such a fun and productive time together, and I am learning a lot as an instructor, and hopefully, the attendees are gaining valuable lessons. My friend and coworker Brooke, who is also back in the States for a while, is assisting, which is a double blessing!
As I teach, I take the opportunity to share about the ministry in Israel and what G-d is doing among His people!
As I return soon to Israel, I will be bringing a large suitcase of special boots requested by the soldiers. I hope to revisit a few units and see what the general need is, now that things have stabalized. I will certainly bring them notes of encouragement and words of Scripture along with whatever other goodies and special things that we can acquire. Please reach out directly if you would like to send a note to encourage the Israeli Defense Soldiers. Although there is a "cease fire" in effect. Soldiers are still being ambushed and killed and without adequate air defense. They are still out in enemy territority doing a dangerous job. Please pray for their safety and for the transition. There are many factors at play.
As I head out, my mom, Joanna will be joining me for the first few weeks as we explore new ministry opportunites in Netanya and in Jerusalem. She has officially named myself my "side-kick," however she is much more than that in my life and will be supporting me in both encouragement and prayer as I seek G-d's "next" for me.
Please be in prayer for our trip and for G-d to clearly open doors for both of us and for me and what He might have for me in his Land.
