Teaching Ladies Self-Defense in Jerusalem! Helping Holocaust Survivors..Winter Coats for Soldiers...Training Israeli Youth to be a Light in the IDF!

Good evening from Jerusalem! As Shabbat ends, I can hear the voices rising over Zion Square, right outside the window of the Airbnb I am staying at. Jerusalem is such a special place to be, no matter that the season is chilly, wet, and cold. There is always a tangible feeling of excitement and hope in the air, as many travelers from both near and far venture to this holiest of cities to seek an experience with G-d.

I'm glad that my days have been filled with lots of opportunities to bless G-d's people. From traveling to a coastal city twice a week to help serve the elderly Holocaust Survivors, to teaching a 6 week ladies Krav Maga course and learning/teaching about the woman of the Messianic line, to helping to plan a large musicians conference with a local ministry, my time has been full and blessed (and diverse!).

And perhaps this is not what we want to hear, but the war in Gaza ia still ongoing, as is the threat from Lebanon, Syria & Iran. Although the need for essential items (such as vests and helmets) has certainly decreased tremendously, I am still in touch with soldiers and reserve units that are short on other gear such as quality winter jackets, boots and some equipment.

Asking for wisdom and guidance from Abba, as the donations are less than in the beginning, I have decided to focus on aiding the believing soldiers and their units and the program called Netivah, that helps send them off with a strong base in thier faith! In fact, we have a family friend who went through the program and we have personally witnessed his faith strengthen in amazing ways! I know this program and its leadership and trust that the funds we bless them with, will be well and have been well utilized for the kingdom!

Somehow I managed to fit 15 large winter coats into a small suitcase & backpack & drag it all on road, subway & train all the way back to Jerusalem. It was a miracle! (& a workout!)

Tomorrow, I go to deliver 15 coats to a unit getting ready to deploy into Gaza shortly. Please pray for the journey as I travel in a rental to the Gaza border with a friend and a friend of a friends. Please pray for the ability to bless and love these soldiers and that G-d's Spirit of Truth would speak through me/us. This unit needs 50 coats and each is around $70 US dollars. The reality of war here in Isreal is ongoing and tangible and yet I do believe G-d has blessed his people with a strong and resilient spirit and an innate understanding that this Land is G-d given and their inheritance from the Almighty. Please pray that they would not be strong in themselves but would cry out to the L-rd to be their deliverance.

Before they call I will answer; while they are yet speaking I will hear. - Isaiah 65:24
