Some of you wrote special words of encouragement to the Israeli soldiers fighting on the front lines. You will be happy to know they were delivered and received with much love and enthusiasm. But let's back up a moment. As mentioned in my last blog, I (Neomi) arrived in Israel amidst missiles from Yemen and flights being shut down, but thank G-d, despite a 10-hour delay, my airline made it in. **Now, that airline is no longer traveling into Israel!
Arriving later than planned, I had no transportation; however, an angel, who turned out to be not only a soldier, but the supply sergeant for a battalion of troops in Gaza, found us a taxi and made sure we had a fair price. Levi *(name changed for safety purposes) helped me understand that sometimes it is just as good to be blessed as to bless. Just two weeks later, he calls me and invites my team to join his unit in the Negev (Israeli desert) as they were having a cookout for the troops the night prior to their entry into Gaza. I cannot stress enough how phenomenally timed this encounter was. Since I no longer have ready access to a vehicle, I chose the only day/time that I was free and arranged a car rental for the trip with my new teammate. Where I normally start my trips at o'dark thirty, we left in the afternoon due to my teammate's schedule and ended up in the desert, hours from Jerusalem at the exact time of the cookout. Only G-d.
Even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me.
Psalm 139:10

Our night cookout with a group of Paratroopers somewhere in the Negev. They picked my new teammate & I up in a truck and took us on winding and bumpy gravel roads! It was such an adventure and the soldiers, despite knowing they were being deployed into combat the next morning, were so sweet and appreciative. They took the time to thank us and went out of their way to talk to us! Please pray for this special group of young men, now deployed in Gaza.

This is another unit we met with where my teammate, Brooke, and I hand delivered the letters to soldiers that you wrote (*you know who you are!) and from her home congregation as well! You are blessing these guys beyond what you believe. Please pray for them. This group of reservists was actually inside of Gaza and came out just to thank us for the uniforms that we brought them. We were able to share our love as Christians for the Jewish People. We pray that each precious soldier will know Him.
*Special thanks for our partner Church from California, Rock Harbour Church, for making this delivery possible. You guys are doing amazing work for the L-rd.

Wow. I am so happy to say that due to your response, we were able to bring an outdoor AC unit, a mosquito zapper, and one protective vest to an artillery unit who just deployed to Gaza. *Shai was so appreciative of your support and they took the time to chat with us, despite having a very hectic day in Gaza and having MUCH more to do. We could see how exhausted these leaders were. Please pray for physical, emotional and spiritual strength as this unit, newly deployed, needs to adjust to the rigors of ongoing war. We ask that G-d will strengthen and prepare them!
Thank you for answering the call for help. We were not able to purchase all of the requests & still lack vests and ceramic (protective plates) for this unit and another. as the funds come in we will deliver!
Do do no fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your G-d. I will strengthen you and help you: I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:10S
Our first official trip together! It was SUCH a blessing to have a helper and teammate (Brooke) in the Land. Praise G-d for this friendship and partnership!

This first trip together was so special. I, Brooke, want to add that despite being at war since October 7th, the disposition of these soldiers is so different than what I anticipated. Although they have worries that we cannot even fathom, I could feel so much peace and compassion on their faces, in their hugs and from their words. Not only was it because they are so thankful for support in a time when it feels like the world is against them, but they are G-d's Chosen People standing up against terrorism. G-d stands with them too. Being in the Land amidst missiles and terrorism, one can truly feel a unique peace that can only come from HaShem. All of the soldiers we met this past week are back in Gaza today. Please keep them in your prayers.
Psalm 29:11 May the Lord give strength to his people! May the Lord bless his people with peace!
